FRIDAYTHOUGHTS #267: FAILURE IS A MYTH

Failure is a myth.

When you were first learning how to ride a bike, thank God you didn’t let that first fall discourage you. And when you landed the job you have now, thank God you didn’t let your initial mistakes make you quit. Heck, when Michael Jordan got cut from his high school basketball team, thank God he didn’t allow that so-called failure to stop him.

When I was learning boxing, muay thai or jiu jitsu...thank God I didn’t stop going to the gym after my first mistake lol or when I failed to throw the right combination, etc. Do you see how silly that sounds? It's a part of the learning process. Failure carries such a negative connotation and it shouldn't - it is simply learning.

Michael Jordan once said, “I’ve failed over and over again, and that’s why I succeed.” We can switch that quote around to say, “I’ve learned over and over again, and that’s why I succeed.” It’s all about learning.

Disappointments are also a myth. They do not truly exist. Better always comes. For example, during my boxing or muay thai journey, when I didn’t throw the right combination and got hit, I learned from it. Sure, I was disappointed to get punched or kicked in the face, but I learned and improved. That’s all it is, guys - it’s the process of growth.

Society has normalized comfort and mediocrity, and many are afraid of being uncomfortable. But the most beautiful things in your life come from facing discomfort until it becomes comfortable. As I always say, those willing to face discomfort will have whatever they desire. It’s law.

The most impactful thing you can do in this lifetime is to give the people you’re meant to serve the most healed/greatest version of you. It takes courage and strength to confront your fears, hurts, and insecurities. Face them, heal, and grow.

Ascension is the goal of this life.

There are only two paths in life. You can either choose the hard of what you truly want or the hard of regret. Settling where you are will not bring you happiness. Instead, embark on the beautiful journey of discovering your purpose, healing, ascending, and increasing your self-love. In doing so, you will inspire so many others along the way.

To all my fellow dream builders, I see you. I applaud you. You’re needed. Every step you take inspires more than you know. Yes, failure is a myth. Mistakes are a myth. Disappointments are myths. They are just big words that people fear when they are simply part of the learning process.

We are here to learn, grow, ascend, increase our self-love, understand who we are, and create our version of heaven on earth while inspiring others to do the same. So, don’t fear learning. The only thing you should fear is not fulfilling the love/beauty you were put here to share. If you’re reading this, I know that’s not you.

So keep going/growing...and continue to share the beauty of you. You're needed. :)

Have an incredible weekend on purpose. #bless
