FRIDAY THOUGHTS #175: IT'S ALL PERSPECTIVE
It's all perspective.
When it comes down to it, two people can view the same mountain and see two totally different things. Two people can experience the same trauma and have two completely different responses...it's all perspective.
It's not what happens to you, it's how you respond that counts...and you have control over your responses. I'll go further, your response to any and everything is based on your mindset/perspective about it.
We have all experienced horrendous things in our lifetime, all of us...however, the moment we begin to train our minds to see the beauty in every situation and give thanks despite the traumatic events, then and only then will we gain self-mastery and ultimately happiness.
There is a solution to every problem and there is beauty in every ugly situation. These are facts...and the more you meditate and train your mind to search for the good in every situation, the more of it you will find. Now, I want you to focus on this daily as you go throughout your day...I want you to focus on how you are reacting and dealing with the daily challenges that are inevitable, I know for the majority of us, our first reaction is to get upset and possibly have that situation ruin the next few hours of our day, I get it and I've been there a million times. However, the next time you go through a challenging situation I want you to experience your grief, etc. but I also want you to search for the beauty in that situation.
What did it teach you? What good can come from it? The good could be something seemingly small, that's fine but focus on that good, dwell on that good and be thankful for whatever good you can find.
My point is this: the moment you find gratitude in every situation that life has to offer is the moment you become unstoppable.
Yes, that's the moment you become a black belt in your mind...and it's also the moment that you find true happiness regardless of any circumstance. Yes, it's the moment you become free.
You can live heaven or hell depending on your mindset so continue to train it well champion. I see you and I'm proud of you, people need what you have, continue doing the inner/outer work to give it to them.
