FRIDAY THOUGHTS #144: I GET IT
I get it.
I finally do get it. I was still somewhat very naive to it up until recently...and now it's clear. I feel like in the past few years I've finally understood the concept more than I've ever have in my entire life. What am I talking about you ask? I'm talking about one of the most deadly sins this world has ever known: jealousy/envy or most commonly referred to as "hate".
I truly understand why it's so widespread and by understanding this it creates empathy. True empathy.
The reason why this concept has taken so long for me to grasp is because I simply didn't grow up believing that there wasn't anything that someone else could do that I couldn't...thankfully, my father and mother instilled a level of belief into my spirit that didn't give me any room to produce "hate". I didn't believe it was possible that I couldn't achieve or do anything that I put my mind towards...I'm not a saint, many times in my life I didn't believe things were probable, but always possible. This belief system kept me naive to what so many other people suffer with and I say suffer, because I truly believe that living your life with the idea that another person is better than you has to be mentally painful to anyone.
Living your life feeling like you don't measure up has to be painful, it has to be. I've had other large challenges in my life to overcome so I don't judge anyone at all just because this wasn't my particular cross to bear. I'm just late to this understanding.
For example: In society so many people have been programmed to believe that it's not possible for them to manifest wealth, heck, if I believed I wasn't "special" enough to garner wealth, I would feel frustrated, angry and spiteful of the wealthy as well. I empathize with those people, however, with a change of ones mindset and a healthy understanding of your inherent greatness...everything can change in anyone's life.
Listen, I finally get it. It's unfortunate but it's life. The number one thing holding anyone back is their mindset. The great news is that we can reprogram our minds the same way we reprogram a computer. If you're still breathing, you can change ANYthing...you just have to believe it to be true and then learn the correct frameworks to implement and then simply do the work. There is no need to feel like you can't do it as well. You can.
Life is so much easier than we've been taught my friends. You are worthy and no human being is better than you, the only differences are our mindsets...and that is in your control. Keep doing the inner/outer work, stay close to the people that are on the same journey as you...and continue to pursue your purpose like your level of happiness depends on it - because it does. Your growth looks so good on you, it's inspiring. #keepgoing
