FRIDAY THOUGHTS #129: FAMILY

Family.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone. During this time, most of you are spending time with your family, friends and loved ones. To the ones who are spending this holiday season alone, I see you and I've been there - all good, sometimes spending this season alone is better than spending it with the wrong company. 

Too many people believe that they have an obligation to spend this or any holidays with blood relatives...I disagree. I vehemently disagree. I've seen too many of my friends go through literal hell, each and every single time they would visit their "family".  I've been on the other end of phone calls, hearing my friend sob about how they were treated...but they still endure it again next year. I've never prescribed to the idea that you have to suffer silently in the name of "family". I will comfortably love ANY human being from a distance if they consistently disturb my peace after I've made it crystal clear to that person where my boundaries are. I love myself too much for that nonsense. I don't care if you're the Pope lol, energy vampires get left on read, ignored and blocked real quick (Drake voice). 

I put "family" in quotations because I don't believe in the idea that your family is blood related, not at all. In my humble opinion, blood means nothing. I know it may sound harsh, I know...but it's true. I've met people just a few years ago that have better intentions for me than certain blood "family". I've met people just a few years ago that show me so much more love than blood "family". I've met people just a few years ago that have the same heart as me and want the same things out of life that I do - these people I proudly call my family, my tribe.

Your tribe will be selected very carefully, it's a must.  If you're a chosen one, you can't move the way you used to, you must protect your energy like your life depends on it - because it does. You're on the road to fulfilling your purpose, delete all/any distractions. Enjoy your real family during this season and avoid anyone that attempts to steal your energy/light. 

It's okay to not be liked - it's not okay to not fulfill your purpose.
