FRIDAY THOUGHTS #121: SELF-ANALYSIS
Self-analysis.
It's easy to point the finger at or blame other people. That's easy. It's easy to blame your parents, society, the government, the weather lol etc. That's easy and you may have a reason to blame those things/people - you may have a very good reason, however, the majority of people rarely take the time to focus on their own toxic traits that negatively contributed to their particular situation.
I know I still have things to work on in my character. I know that. Thankfully I've never been shy about my weak-points. I've never felt too embarrassed to openly discuss any of them, I'm comfortable having that discussion. Thankfully, I'm aware of myself and I'm daily putting in the inner/outer work to make sure all of those unhealthy habits are debugged from my mental hard drive. All of the generational curses stop with me.
I will not pass those down to my future children and that's not an option. That will not be a part of my legacy.
After a bit of long and honest self-reflection we begin to more and more clearly see our very own blind spots in life. We begin to realize more and more all of our unhealthy habits and all of the damage it's caused us as well as other people. Most people never get to the point of self-reflection...their character hasn't evolved enough for that. Don't be like most people - if you're reading this, I know that you're not.
Your family deserves the very best version of you...you deserve the very best version of you. Do the inner/outer work and give the world the healthiest version of you, it's your birthright after all.
I see you doing the inner work - I see you self-reflecting, taking action and I applaud you. The world needs what you have, continue to give it to them.
P.S. The healed version of you looks so good on you...you're beautiful. #keepgoing
