FRIDAY THOUGHTS #113: THE POINT OF NO RETURN
The point of no return.
In any journey you embark on, any journey, there will be a point during your travels that you simply know that: there is no turning back now.
I've recently been shifting my weight training regiment to focus more on adding muscle - I'm actually in the process of adding 3-5 lbs of muscle and I've been training with this new regiment for a few months now. I've def seen some results in the past few months, my friends/family have seen it too...however, it wasn't until this past Wednesday, I finished my workout and looked in the mirror - and I saw things coming together more than it ever has. Now, it was at that point I became obsessed. Periodt.
It was at that point my hunger for hitting my goal went through the fucking roof! I'm serious, for the first time in months I cannot wait until Monday afternoon so I can hit the gym and continue working on my frame/body. For the first time in months I fully enjoy my workouts. For the first time in months I eagerly embrace all of the glorious pain/burn that comes from lifting heavy weights and doing heavy cardio. For the first time in many months.
What happened?
I hit the point of no return. That beautiful tipping point that only happens when you stay the course long enough to see a certain level of results. Yes, once you start to see results, it becomes a habit…but once you see a certain level of results, it becomes a beautiful obsession. Most people never give themselves the opportunity to be obsessed, they see a bit of adversity and pain along their journey and they stop, they give up and create some logical excuse for it. If they only were able to endure a little longer...they'd experience one of the most beautiful and natural highs you'll ever receive: the high of a beautiful obsession.
Endure the pain and you'll enjoy the benefits. I see you champions. #keepgoing
