FRIDAY THOUGHTS #111: GNOTHI SEAUTON

 

Gnothi Seauton.

This means "know thyself". I first heard this phrase in one of my first year english classes at UCLA. We read this one particular story from a book that I really can't remember the details of it - I just remember that the phrase touched my soul so much that I never forgot it. I almost made a clothing company with the exact same slogan.

A man/woman is unstoppable when they know who they are...they are unstoppable. They will reap all the benefits this world has to offer.

The biggest pains I've been through in my life have been some of the biggest opportunities for growth I've seen in my life. Each time I felt pain, fear or was taken advantage of in any way, I promised myself that I would never feel that way fucking way again and I did whatever it took to make that a reality. Each painful situation I've been through has turned me into the person I am today. Every scar has made me more aggressive, truly...each scar, I promise you that I made sure I received a beautiful reward for - a huge reward. The more you hurt me, the more you grow me...I'm not one you should hurt, you're only pushing me further into my inherent purpose and that is the way it should be for everyone. Your pain should always push you towards your inherent greatness...that's the reason why it's there.

When you know yourself, you know that everything that has ever happened in your life is just opportunity to reveal who you've always been...the pain is beautiful and necessary.

Do the inner/outer work to know yourself and display your full purpose to the world. The world needs what you have - continue to give it to them. #bless
