FRIDAY THOUGHTS #110: DISAPPOINTMENT

Disappointment.

It's just a part of life. In life you'll be disappointed by lovers, family, friends, colleagues and at times you'll even be disappointed by yourself. That's normal. Again, it's just a part of life. What you choose to do after a disappointment can either be normal or abnormal.

Normally, people simply complain about their disappointments, blame something, blame someone else or a combination of the two. What's rare and abnormal is when someone takes full responsibility for the situation they find themselves in, fully realize their mistake, then become relentless in correcting it. The person that is obsessed with correcting that disappointing situation will inevitably use that situation to grow and become a better version of themselves. Turning your pain into blessings and turning your disappointments into opportunities is one of the keys to life.  If you've mastered turning your painful situations into opportunities to grow, you are in rare but beautiful company and the world needs more people like you. That is Christ-consciousness on beautiful display.

Disappointments are inevitable, you can't escape them...and to be honest with you, you don't want to. Disappointments cause pain and that pain is simply put there to get our attention that it's time to make a change. The goal of every painful situation is to get us to make some sort of change in our life, that is the reason for them all. The pain is put there to get our attention, our job now is to figure out the lesson in it. Now if you don't make the changes that you should, the lesson will be repeated over and over again until you do...and each time the lesson will have more dire consequences.  Either you'll learn or you'll pay.

I've recently been disappointed by some family/friends...it hurts but it's life. However, let me be clear - everyone of those situations have been my fault of course (like every situation) thankfully those situations brought to light the changes I need to make. I've since made the necessary adjustments and I'm extremely thankful for the growth that has/is coming out of it. Minimize your complaints, take complete and full responsibility for every disappointment, learn from your mistakes and make the necessary adjustments. It's that simple. The pains of life are all beautiful and necessary opportunities for your growth, do not despise any challenge put in front of you, take full advantage of them. The world needs what you have, continue to do the inner/outer work and give it to them.

I see you champions, enjoy the journey. #bless
