FRIDAY THOUGHTS #82: DON'T REINVENT THE WHEEL
Don't reinvent the wheel.
I've been running a web development company for about six years now. I'm taking a course on marketing, I haven't taken many online courses and this is definitely the most expensive. The information that I'm learning is incredible, definitely worth every penny. What's interesting is that right before taking this course, I came to the strong realization that there are three keys involved in creating a successful company: having the correct mindset, having the correct product/service and having the correct marketing.
"correct" simply means: top-notch
If you are dedicated to being the very best in your: mindset, product/service and marketing strategy for your company, I truly believe your business will find it extremely difficult to not find massive success.
Now, for many years I have been dedicated to spiritual development and building my mindset so this is definitely not where I lack, this is a strength of mine. What I've been lacking is not offering top notch service and my marketing was mediocre at best. Thankfully, last quarter, after years of failing, I stumbled upon the business strategy l I needed to offer top-notch service to my clients, also marketing at that time was decent - it was at that moment my business started seeing growth.
I started this company with relatively zero to no experience in business and also I had very little experience in this particular industry. I was naive enough to believe that I can just walk in and become an instant success. I was wise enough to read books about daily about business and my industry. I was always expanding my knowledge, however, it wasn't until I stumbled upon this marketing course that I realize that I also need to take courses and attend seminars consistently throughout the year to maximize my knowledge. What I'm learning wouldn't be as impactful by simply reading it from a book. I couldn't be more thankful to have stumbled upon this concept...I'm sure for many of you this is old news, for me it's new.
The main point I am making is that I've recently truly realized from my soul, that there is no need to re-invent the wheel - whatever you want to accomplish, simply find and learn the system of that thing. A great rule of thumb is to find the person who's the best at that thing and take their courses/seminars. It's wild how difficult we as humans sometimes make things...this life is so much simpler and much more beautiful than we've been taught to believe. Enjoy the journey champions.
I see you. #keepgoing
