FRIDAY THOUGHTS #77: IT'S REALLY SIMPLE
It's really simple.
It's not easy but it's all really simple when you think about it: this game called Life. When you really think about it, you realize that pain is just an opportunity to grow. The only problem is that we haven't been programmed to view it as such and therefore the majority never reap the benefits of living with that type of mindset. We are taught to view pain as something to run from, to never engage with, to fear, etc. but I see it differently. I believe that without facing and experiencing the pains of life, we will never experience the joys of life.
Will you use the pain to your advantage or nah? It's that simple.
We think we're making our own choices - but it's just the suggestions we've digested since childhood and now are regurgitating without a second thought. It's only until you go through one of those "dark nights of the soul" that we then begin to question everything we've ever been taught. It is by going through that trauma that we begin to question many outdated emotional paradigms we've been given. You know exactly what the "dark night of the soul of the night" means: it's one of the moments in life that rips your heart out of your chest and it breaks into ten million tiny fragments that take you years to pick back up and repair. It's when you are left for dead, bleeding profusely on the ground and you painfully grasp for air due to the pain being so intensely unbearable - those are the "dark nights". If you haven't experienced one yet, keep living - you will. Your emotions go into shock without you even being aware, and that trauma can now manifest itself into many things such as: addictions, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low-self esteem, etc. Even more emotionally impacting is that we have traumas from our childhood that mostly go unnoticed - the first five years of anyones life shapes their mental paradigm the most: 90% of the child's brain is developed at five.
Listen, life is a war zone...and until people fully realize how to fight, then and only then will they have the ability to win. Life is one big fight. I liken it to MMA since it uses all of the different mindset martial arts such as: meditation, affirmations, visualizations, reading, tapping, counseling, etc. There are many ways of reprogramming our subconscious minds and in doing so that is when you truly learn how to fight back. Fighting in combat sports should be fun and it is a lot of fun...when you know what you're doing. Life is no different.
It's not easy but it's all really simple. The person who chooses to reprogram their mind to utilize pain to their advantage will win the game - every single time. The beautiful thing about life is that: the choice is ours to make and we can make that choice every day with our habits.
It's all possible and it's really that simple. #keepgoing
