FRIDAY THOUGHTS #79: MERRY CHRISTMAS
Merry Christmas.
Happy Holidays to everyone! This is the 79th blog and it's pretty cool that it falls on Christmas day, this is my favorite holiday of the year...by far. When I was growing up in California, I would always come back to Canada to visit my mother and brother...I can remember feeling the rush of joy I felt as the Holiday season rolled around; knowing that soon I'd be able to spend time with the few people I loved the most in this world: my mother, brother, grandmother and my crazy Uncle. I still have that feeling...although many things have changed, some of them are not here anymore, some I don't talk to anymore, however, the nostalgia of it all remains.
This truly is a magical time of year.
I still feel like a kid during this season. What I also love about this season is the opportunity to reflect on the past year: how it started, how it's ending and most importantly what I was able to learn from it all. As I woke up this morning I felt a deep joy in my heart...I felt peace. I remember this time last year, I did not have that peaceful feeling. I look at the situation I was in last year compared to where I am today and all I can do is be extremely grateful and give God praise. There's still a lot of work to do, but it brings tears to my eyes to see how much things have changed within one year...from being at such a low place to where I am today, I cant help but be extremely thankful. Hard to put into words.
There is no better feeling than working your ass off and seeing things change because of it. Any progress is good progress. Any. For those of you on the journey of self-discovery, keep going, keep going. I don't care what season you are in today and I don't care how long you've been in that season...hold the line, persevere, fight the good fight, continue to do the inner work and at the right time your season will change, it's only a matter of time.
Merry Christmas, I love you and I'm proud of you in advance! #keepgoing #bless
