FRIDAY THOUGHTS #64: PUSH YOURSELF

Push Yourself.

I mean...really push yourself. I love the phrase by David Goggins: "do something that sucks every single day". It's true...but it's deeper than just doing something that sucks. It's doing something that sucks and doing it with a level of intensity that pushes your self-perceived limits.

So many people truly fear discomfort. They run from it...and I understand it, but running from pain won't spark your greatness - it will simply do the opposite. Face every challenge. Embracing discomfort until it becomes comfortable is the only way to display your beautiful truth. For example, how many people do you know that go to the gym, however, after 2-5 years their body hasn't changed much? Now, I'm not body shaming by any stretch lol I'm just being realistic. How many people want to create their dream body, dream financial situation, dream job or dream relationship? Everyone, I'm sure. Now how many  people actually achieve them? Not many. Why? Because it hurts. It hurts so much that many people simply don't want to endure the necessary pain needed to accomplish it. It's not because they don't want it - they just don't want to endure the pain, so they tell themselves some contrived story as an excuse why they are not doing that thing their heart desires. You've heard the stories, the excuses...we've all used them at some point in time.

What many people are unaware of is that becoming the very best versions of themselves is their gift to the world. That pain and sacrifice needed to develop their character and live their purpose is not wasted at all. It's never wasted. Life gives to the man/woman willing to have the past versions of themselves die so they can be reborn again. We renew our minds daily. The person willing to go through this rebirth process will win the reward. We must face all the tough things in life including including our childhood and life traumas. The bottom line is this: having the ability to endure discomfort will determine the outcome of our journeys.

Don't run from pain. Face it and be free. If you're reading this, I know that you are not like the majority. Continue facing the discomfort, the fears, etc. We are only born with two biological fears: the fear of falling and the fear of a loud sound. Every other fear has been programmed...which means we can change the programming.

Continue to do ALL the things that suck. Push yourself. The more it sucks, the more you grow. You are worthy of everything God put in your heart/soul.  People need what you have champion, give it to them. #bless
