FRIDAY THOUGHTS #54: BE PATIENT

Be patient.

I know, I know...we heard this all the time by our parents when we were kids. Whether we were overly excited about a birthday party or playing outside with our friends...or I remember this time when we were going to Disneyland I barely slept I was so excited and one of my parents would tell me to simply: "be patient!", "just wait" or "slow down", etc. Now just as we heard these words as kids...when you've been working on your purpose and building things for your work, body, finances, mindset, etc. you have to go through this incubation period which may last from 3-10 years if not longer. It's a long fucking haul man...it's a long journey towards building something that is bigger than you've ever seen. It's a long journey when you realize you'll spend the majority of it alone and misunderstood. It's a long fucking journey when you'll experience setback after setback: loss of loved ones, financial loss, heartbreak, divorce, health issues, etc. It's a long journey to get to the other side where all the gold is...where the waters are less turbulent and more peaceful.

It's simply a long fucking journey.

But ohhhhhh lol it's so g'damnnnn worth it all. I wouldn't trade one day for nothing! Call me crazy but I actually love the damn scars and bruises I've accumulated along the way...if it was easy I wouldn't want it. I wouldn't. I love challenges, crave them actually. I'm looking forward to the seasons changing, they already are...but I'm glad it's not being handed to me. I don't want it handed to me. I want to earn every fucking penny. I want to earn every fucking thing. If I don't earn it, I don't want it...and earning it makes it all worth it.

Hey, the seasons will eventually change...and like our parents used to tell us: be patient.  I will encourage you to do the same. Be patient champion, the seasons will change, heck for some of you, they are already changing...and you deserve it.

Yes, the road is fucking long...but g'dammmit it's so beautifully worth it, I swear I wouldn't have it any other way.
