FRIDAY THOUGHTS #46: OPPORTUNITY

Opportunity.

Everything is an opportunity if you look at it with the correct lens. I just got off the phone with a close friend and he was having a huge relationship problem...I literally sacrificed my night to make sure he was okay, that's what good friends are for. He believed the woman he was with was the "one" - it seems like that "one" status may be put on hold for now. The relationship is not working out...at all. I told him he needs to walk away and never look back. Never look back.  He agrees and will do so...something he should've done a long time ago.  Listen, if you're ever given an offer in business, relationships, etc. and it's not the offer that you deserve or want - be willing to walk away and never look back, period.

Too many people disrespect themselves by accepting offers that are very low-ball. They do it because of fear...they fear they'll never get a job like the one they currently have, so they allow themselves to be disrespected in ways they shouldn't. Or someone is in a relationship and they allow the other person to do something that should be a deal-breaker...but they stick around anyway, they allow themselves to be disrespected all because they fear that they'll never find someone better.

Newsflash: the moment you allow yourself to be disrespected you will have a hard time respecting yourself and if you don't respect yourself it will be hard for you to fulfill your purpose. You have to be willing to piss people off to fulfill your purpose. The good news is that - no matter what mistakes you've made, you can always recover and recover big.

Everyone has made these mistakes in life, the goal is simply to not make the same mistake twice. When you're given an offer that is not what you want...be willing to walk away from the table and get what you want. What you want is searching for you...don't stop until you find it. The most powerful place a person can from is the place of self-love.  As I told my friend...walk away and never look back. Trust the process and know what you're looking for is looking for you.

Every challenge or situation is simply an opportunity. Take an advantage of every beautiful opportunity to grow and manifest a better version of yourself. This entire Universe is conspiring for you, that alone should put a smile on your face. You're going to be just fine.
