FRIDAY THOUGHTS #25: FEELINGS ARE IRRELEVANT

Feelings are irrelevant.

Yeah..."that way" lol, but no seriously speaking - the difference between mediocre, good and great is in doing the things you know you should do regardless of how you feel.  Your feelings don't matter - your brain wants you to keep the status quo, it doesn't want you to overextend yourself and be uncomfortable...it is always seeking comfort. Your brain doesn't want you to get up at 5am to meditate and then go to the gym before work, your brain doesn't want you to: start that business, change your location, change your financial status, talk to that girl, lose that weight, etc.  It doesn't want you to do anything that is out of your comfort zone.

The question is: will you let it? If you're reading this, I already know the answer. You're cut from a different clothe and you know it - it may have taken you a long time to get to where you are today, but it was worth the journey of enlightenment and strength.

Every time you do something that's out of your comfort zone - you gain confidence. I promise you, an easy way to gain confidence is by doing "something that sucks" as David Goggins would say.  Try getting up at 5am every morning for one month - I promise you, you'll gain confidence. The point I'm making is not about the specific time you wake up, the point is that we are meant to put ourselves in challenging and uncomfortable situations - we are literally wired for it!  Without discomfort we would not grow, yet 99.9% of people run from it like it's a plague.

When you want something as bad as you want to breathe you become obsessed...and when you are obsessed you will do whatever it takes - you will do all the hard and uncomfortable things necessary and it's necessary to achieve the goal.  It's not supposed to easy - it was never supposed to be easy.

Don't feel like doing it? Good. Do it anyway and grow...people need what you have champion. Your feelings are irrelevant. #keepgoing 👊🏾
