FRIDAY THOUGHTS #17: SEASONS CHANGE
Seasons change.
We all know that the weather seasons change depending on the time of the year: Winter, Fall, Spring and Summer. Those seasons don't last forever...although sometimes it seems they can lol especially during a harsh winter. Well, it's the same for life's "winter's" - those times in your life where it seems that anything and everything that can go wrong, does go wrong...and it goes wrong brilliantly! I mean, the SHIT hits the fan in away that you just couldn't imagine. All hell breaks loose in your life and it seems like you're going from one huge winter storm to the next - it's brutal. Heart-wrenching! The pain of going through one of those sustained winters in your life will take you to your knees. You will ask yourself: when will this end???
I lost my parents within two years, went through a horrible divorce...years later, had two more breakups, lost friends, family members, lost my income, place to live...would of lost my mind if I didn't have the understanding to build my character daily - that's what saved me. Meditation, affirmation, visualizations - this is what has given me the mental fortitude I have to weather any storm now. Matter of fact, I know that any storm that comes in my life is a blessing...and I will use it for my good. I will learn the lessons the pain is teaching me and GROW from it. We all need to look at the things that make us cry with that perspective - it's the truthful perspective.
Listen, I know you're hurting - I can relate, however, I also know that your winter season will change. My winter will season will change...matter of fact, it's already changing. I see it.
It's so great to see my winter season change. My winter season was 10 years. Everyone has a different winter season, some longer - some shorter, but at the end of the day it's not about the length, it's about how did you grow during that time. The season is there to prepare for your "Summer" - and oh how beautiful a Summer it will be! :)
Don't hate your winter seasons. Grow from them. It's temporary, endure that pain and heartache soldier, don't let up, don't give in - #keepgoing, I believe in you. Your season will change - at the right time. #blessings
