FRIDAY THOUGHTS #12: LET IT BURN
Sometimes in life you gotta just…let it burn. When you’re working on changing a behavior, an action…or a way of thinking, everything inside of you does NOT want to change! Your body will RESIST your attempts by causing stress, fear, fatigue at every turn. You want to start getting up early to go to the gym? You want to stop having road rage? You want to start learning how to speak up for yourself and create a potential conflict…or do you want to learn how to let things go? SO HARD to do!! Yet…so necessary to allow yourself to feel that burn and allow yourself the option to change.
Tired of doing porn? Take a deep breathe. Let it burn and choose another action. Listen guys…there is NO easy way to changing your mindset and becoming the best version of yourself. Take heart…it is always hardest when you start - and if you don’t start it will always be hard. When your “why” is strong enough…you will go through the pain of change and allow yourself to grow through the burn process until you are purified.
There is a giant inside of you…there always has been. You know it. It’s been that small still voice that you’ve heard ever since you can remember. That giant just wants to be fed - continuously. However, in order to feed the giant of greatness in you, you are going to have to get rid of bad/destructive habits - I wish I could tell you there was an easy way, there isn’t. If it was easy, everyone would do it. Thankfully, you’re cut from a different cloth - the pain of staying where you are is much too great than the pain of changing for the better.
It’s your time. Feel the burn. Let it burn…and purify you in the process. God bless you champions - I feel your pain and I burning alongside you as well. We motivate each other. #keepgoing
